It is OUR GOVERNMENT

Gov. Pat Quinn is creating a new job that will be filled by the head of his Human Services agency Carol Adams, who will become Illinois' representative to Africa at an annual salary of $110,000. Adams will also get a housing expense for her new post in Johannesburg, South Africa. Asked why he was creating a new position while the state has budget problems, Quinn said it's important for the state to nurture economic ties overseas. Never mind that we already pay taxes to Washington D.C. for the State Department to do the same thing. But that seems to be the tend today with the Democrats in charge of OUR GOVERNMENT.

Are we not going to pass a health care plan written by a committee whose own chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it, but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by the President that also hasn't read it, with funding administered by a treasury secretary who didn't pay his taxes, and financed by our country that's nearly broke. Seems like a plan for failure to me.

We need to take back OUR GOVERNMENT, from those that think that they know better and they are the government.

Great point - last I checked, we DID pay the State Department to take care of foreign relations.

Maybe next Quinn will ask for money to start sending foreign aid from Illinois as well.
