What is in the trillion-dollar stimulus package that Congress will soon pass without any assistance from the Republican Party?
$2 billion for child-care subsidies
$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
$400 million for global-warming research
$150 million for the Smithsonian
And much much more.
How is this job creation? What the American People want and need are lower Federal Taxes. Lower taxes means more money in the average citizens pocket, which they will use to directly improve the economy. Help to repair roads and bridges that are needed to move goods across the country, will improve the economy. We want our government to help its citizens but not to mortgage the future of the nation for things that our grandchildren will be paying for.
Congress is creating a larger government that will try controlling everything under the sun. If Congress could they would tax the sun.
