Many members of Congress are having Town Hall type meetings to allow the citizens they represent a chance to voice their opinions on the Health Care issue. Our representative in Congress is having a closed meeting to explain the Democratic Health Care Plan. The meeting is being sponsored by the Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce and is open only to representatives of Chamber member businesses in good standing in the 8th Congressional District. There will be a $25 cost to those that are allowed to attend.
This is hardly an open debate of the issues in our District. Maybe the next time Congresswoman Bean visits our community she will host an open meeting to the citizens she represents.
